Being a crafter I have a lot of ribbon. I use it on several of my crafts so I have a lot of ribbon. Even when I do not need ribbon I buy ribbon because I never know when a ribbon will work well with the craft I am working on. Lately, I have been using a lot of black, white and red ribbon in combination with each other for the crafts I have made lately. With that said, I needed a way to organize the ribbon I use most so I do not have to go to my ribbon storage bin every time I need a certain ribbon. So, I have a crate I was stacking ribbon in but ribbon spools would fall out and unwind the ribbon creating a mess. I decided to use the crate and a couple of dowels to hold my ribbon. I got a new pink drill for Christmas from my sister and I used it for the first time. I drilled holes in the top and slightly in the bottom, stacked up the ribbon and ran a dowel through the top hole, through the ribbon spools to the bottom hole. It holds the ribbon and it is easy to use the ribbon I want. One ribbon organizer created!

There's A New President...Oh, boy
We have a new president and all I can say is God help us. I am have known and seen what Joe Biden has done in his earlier years and it just kind of scares me what is going to happen now that he is president. I voted for President Trump in 2016 & 2020 and am very proud I did. As a man, President Trump is kind of a jerk but as President he was great. He did things that no other President had and he didn't care who he ticked off. Were we better off as a country? You bet! Now we are going to go back to the same things Obama did and have four more years of nothing except hurting the middle class who ends up having to pay for everything and gets nothing in return. The rich have their way to get around things and the poor are given everything. Now the illegal immigrants will to. What am I going to do about it? I am going to pray for this country. God has a plan and that is all I need right now. I am trying to stay positive but what our country has been going through just scares me. Lord help us!

No New Year's Resolution For Me
I have decided to not do a New Year's resolution this year. I use to do one every year and about two weeks in I would fail. Why should I start my year out by failing in two weeks. So, no New Year's resolution for me. I will set some goals and hopefully achieve some but I think after the year we just completed it is time to just reflect on what is happening and what most of last year was about.
We are still deep in the COVID stuff but the vaccine is getting distributed to several people now. In my state it is going to health care workers, first responders and people 65 yrs or older. It was suppose to go to essential workers but a lot of those are in no danger of getting COVID. Let's keep our elderly safe. When the vaccine opens up for us all I will be getting the shot. I am not afraid of it and if I can put COVID to the side for a while it will be so worth it.
2020 was a different year. It is the year almost everything came to a holt. The world was almost shut down. Many states are still in lockdown but it doesn't seem to be helping because their numbers are worse than ours and we are open. Is the herd mentality working? No, not yet but we are given the chance to try. Our children and teachers have been doing well without massive outbreaks of COVID now that the schools have been open since August. Amusement Parks and sporting events are going following CDC guidelines without any major issues.
Here we are in 2021 and nothing has changed that much except the vaccine is being distributed. I do feel that within the next few months we will begin to get back to normal just not the same normal as it was before COVID. It will be the "new" normal but at least we will be some what normal. So, 2021 may be a good year or it may follow in 2020's footsteps. Only time will tell but one thing is for sure; I am going to continue to live my life and try to get back to as normal as I can have it right now.

Can We All Play Nice?
Warning, this is my own opinion, if you don't like it quit reading it and move on to another blog. I will not condone any nasty remarks. I cannot believe what is happening here in America. The politics and the politicians are going way overboard and it is ridiculous that both parties are causing so much friction in our own country. It started with the riots, which made me sick, and nothing, NOTHING happened. Now the capital gets rioted on and all H E double toothpicks (HELL) breaks out. What happened is terrible but it did not do the harm or damage all the riots did and continued to do. The protestors and riots of late spring and early summer cost Billions of dollars in damage where the damage to the capital was maybe $10,000. The riots went on for days and weeks and in several different locations. The capital was a few hours and it was done. They were both terrible but why is the media being so hard on the capital and is kind of sweeping the riots under the rug? Oh yeah, because they are one sided and trying to sell their opinion to everyone. Seriously, there were deaths in both but everyone wants all that are involved with the capital riot arrested, tried and put away. Were the riot people, who physically stole things that did not belong to them, get a free ride. This is justice? No, this is a double standard. It is a sad day in America and we have become the laughing stock to the world. President Trump was a good president who had to achieve everything he did in office by himself and his staff. Even members of his own party were against him. He is not a politician, he cannot be bought off, he is not in anybody's pocket and yet he was able to employ Americans and got justice from countries that were just taking and not paying back. Thank you President Trump. I have supported you from day one and I will continue to support you.
We will have a new president in a few days. I am not a Biden supported and definately not a Harris supporter. It is scary for me to think they are in power and all that they could do to ruin the lives we have become a accustom to. Enjoy it while you can folks, if the Democrats get their way we are all in trouble. I pray for this country and the only thing that is keeping me from going crazy is the fact that I believe in God. God has a plan and I am leaving it all in his hands. God Bless America and may we be able to still love and exist in our country when the new regime moves in.

Happy New Year! Welcome 2021!
Good bye 2020! I would like to say it was nice but in general it kind of stunk...big time. In general, it was a tougher year than most for me personally but only because it involved one of my children. The whole COVID stuff is just garbage created by a country that is trying to take over and kill what the USA is all about. They did a good job in making sure it screwed up things for every single person on the universe. However, it has not broken our spirits and as long as we can stay strong and work through the COVID disaster we will all be stronger for it. Is it unfortunate that so many had to die needlessly? Absolutely! Only a cowardest country would hurt so many. Stay strong people! Together we can get through this. When the vaccine is available to me I will take it! At least we know that the stupid country the started it all is not involved with the vaccine. There were some good things that came out of 2020 and some bad things. So, here we go!
Bad - loss of jobs, income, our way of life, essential workers. No vacations, weddings, funerals, sporting events, festivals, entertainment or attending church. MASKS!!! Lonliness and/or domestic violence. Demonstrations and riots and ruining good people for what? Nothing! Nothing has come out of it except hurting others you don't even know. Why? What did you prove? What has happened since...nothing!
Good - more time with family and a chance to slow down. Organizing anything and everything! Being an essential worker - an income! I am blessed to live in a state where the Governor knows how to keep a state thriving. We are open and we are no worse then when we were closed. This is all in God's hands. He has a plan for us.
With that said I am glad to bid 2020 a farewell and welcome 2021 with a lot of hope and happiness! I know just going into 2021 will not cure COVID but I believe we are headed in the right direction to end this pandemic and get back to a real life where we can live free again. Let's all give it all to the Lord. Try it, you might just like it!

Merry Christmas!
I have been AWOL for the entire Christmas season. In reality this has been a very 4 weeks and a very different holiday season. We did not put the decorations up on Black Friday; heck we didn't even go shopping on Black Friday. We had Friendsgiving instead. We eventually did get decorated but it took about a week, that is 6 days longer than it has ever been before. My birthday was this month and we celebrated it by going to Disney World for the weekend. Yes, the parks! We had a great time and we were all safe and did not get COVID. I may be chastised by some because we did this but here in Florida, we are open and can do these things and we are no worse then all the "closed" states. We are being safe, we are following the CDC guidelines and our Governor is making sure all is good which allows us to have a Christmas season. I had taken another COVID test two days ago just so that we could have a safe Christmas eve at my church. The entire church staff and anyone who was participating in the service did so. We were ALL negative. We are all wanting 2020 and COVID to just go away. Today, I am hoping to make this as normal of a holiday as we can. We will be together with family and friends but we have been together through this entire ordeal. I wish you all a very Merry Christmas. We all deserve one!

Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours. I hope you were able to enjoy it with your family or friends. We had a nice Thanksgiving with family today and all I had to do is make a couple of sides. Tomorrow, however, I will be cooking up as we will be celebrating Friendsgiving. I have a 22 pound turkey to make along with all the sides. I don't really mind since it is my favorite holiday meal to make. We will be having Ham too! The ham is a new tradition for me as we never had it but my son-in-law always did so we are adding to our Thanksgiving tradition. I am also breaking with another tradition as I will not be making my homemade pumpkin pies this year. The one who truly enjoyed them is gone and no one else likes it but me so instead of pies Rory and I will be making chocolate chip cookies and peanut butter cookies. They are not for dessert; just to have. Happy Thanksgiving!
