Time To Share And Vent

This blog was started when I decided to start a new chapter in my life.  After a few years of living in a very rural area I realized it was not for me.  Who knew almost a year later things would really change forever.  I am normally not a person who vents but hey, this is my blog so why not.
I am distraught over the loss of my husband and know with time it will get easier.  Until that time I will continue to live one day at a time.
I am currently staying busy by house and pet sitting for a friend for the next week and so I am adjusting to it being quiet except when the dogs bark.  I have 5 companions with me; two dogs and three cats.  I am not a huge fan of cats but they are beginning to grow on me.  Right now, as I am enjoying watch cable tv again since I don't have it at home because we stream everything, I realize that there are so many things that still has to be done but I cannot do a thing without the death certificate and until I get it I am at a standstill.  Once I get the certificate I can continue to finalize things for Tim.  His funeral is going to be at the Jacksonville National Cemetery on August 2nd and will be with military honors.
I have had lots of condolences and I appreciate each and every one and so I say thank you to all.  Please keep me and may family in your prayers.  Time to say good night; I will share more soon!

A Very Sad Day

On Monday, July 8th, my husband (Tim Loomis) of 36 years passed away suddenly due to a massive heart attack.  He was out washing the car when it hit and it is believed by paramedics that he was gone before he even hit the ground.  A neighbor found him and called 911.  There was nothing that could be done and he was transported to the hospital for a doctor to declare him.  We did donate some things from his body so that he could give the “gift of life” to someone else.  We, his family and friends, are all distraught and still in disbelief.  Tim served his Country for 20 years in the Navy and proudly did so.  We have two children, Carrie & Jenny and a granddaughter, Rory.  He loved his family and friends and he will be missed.  Rest In Peace Tim, you are gone but not forgotten.

Busch Gardens

We are in Tampa, Florida visiting Busch Gardens.  This is my second visit and Jenny went as a kid a few times but it was Rory’s and Nate’s first visit.  It was fun but it was HOT!  It was 98 degrees but with the heat index it felt like 112 degrees.  We tried to stay relatively cool but it was just hot.  We spent most of our time in Sesame Street area of the park letting Rory ride and play.  Jenny & Nate tried to ride some of the roller coasters but the lines were way to long.  Around 3:30 the park closed down all their rides due to the bad storms moving in.  We decided to beat the rain and leave.  We made it to the car just in time.  We stayed at the Hyatt and when we made it to our room we were still hot and sticky...and wet.  We got cleaned up then headed to World Of Beer where we all had great dinners.  It was a fun day.  Thank you Jenny, Nate and Rory!

A Short Work Week

It was a short work week this past week due to the July  4th holiday.  Short weeks are appreciated but are also usually a little busier for me but this week was an exception since two of the rehearsals are cancelled due to the holiday.  So, I worked on my summer list of things to get done and I have managed to accomplish a few.  I am ready for tomorrow’s festivities and hope you all have a great 4th of July too!  Happy 4th of July!

Wow, How Time Flies!

I know it has been a while since I posted, like 6 months, and I have been a bit busy but I am going to try and get back to blogging.  Probably not every day rebut maybe a couple of days a week.  I have been enjoying life and just returned from a week end in Orlando with family and friends.  We went to Sea World and ICON Park.  Both were full days and lots of fun and tiring too!  Check out the pictures from our week end!  It was fun!
