65 Down and Still Going!

Today, I have reached another goal and that is continuing losing weight!  I have now lost 65 pounds in six months but have done it sensibly through hard work with a WW diet and general exercise (walking).  I have not used any kind of dietary supplement just watching what I eat, exercise, get plenty of rest and enjoy the little victories.  I found out yesterday that for every pound of weight that you lose it takes 9 pounds of pressure off your joints.  9 x 65 =585 pound of pressure.  No wonder I feel so much better and no longer hurt in my knees and shoulders.  I am only half way to where I want to be but I am still going strong.  65 yay!

Continuing the Journey

I am six months into my life changing journey and have hit some milestones.  I am over 60 pounds lighter and feeling like a kid again.  Okay, maybe not a kid but at least acting like I am in my 30s or 40s again.  I am amazed how good I feel.  I have changed how I eat, sleep, exercise and have even cut down on watching TV or on my computer or ipad.  So far I have been successful and I am now making sure I continue and not get cocky or careless.  I still have the drive to continue this journey and I do know it is still going to take some time to get where I want to be.  I have a great support team with my kids and friends and even facebook/instagram friends that I do not know in person but their support is felt.  Thank you to all!  It does keep me going!  Now let's see what the next six months bring!

Down 60 and Feeling Great!

Today I have to say I was a bit uneasy to step on the scale for my weekly weigh in.  I am awaiting the day that I step on it and don't lose.  I know that day will come I am just not ready for it to happen just yet.  I was very happy to read the scale this morning because I had lost another 2 pounds from last week and I am happy to say I have now lost 61 pounds.  I am wearing smaller clothes, well I am still wearing my old clothes they are just really big on me.  Since I want to continue to lose I am not buying a lot of clothes in my new size just a few to get me by.  I have so much more energy and I feel good all the time.  I have the biggest cheerleader, my daughter Jenny, who did this same thing a few years ago.  She now is on Instagram and has her own website where she helps and encourages others to do the same.  She is quite amazing!  Check out jensjourney on instagram or her website jensjourney.net.  I still have a way to go but I am on the right track and determined to reach my goal and not return to my old self.  I CAN DO THIS!

Door Prize Time Again!

I will be spending today finishing up the door prizes for my sister's next stamping event.  I have dragged my feet a bit on this one and am working under a very tight deadline but that is because I decided to sprain my wrist a few weeks ago and it is finally healed enough that I can now work with it again.  So, I have one more DP to design and make and then I can get them in the mail tomorrow.  I already did one DP this week and I think it turned out great.  Check out the pic!  Have a great weekend all!

A Wonderful 4th of July Weekend

Happy 4th of July on the 5th!  I was away for the weekend visiting some friends.  I had a wonderful time and it was so good to spend some one on one time with my very good friend Debbie, her husband Bill and their adorable little dog Tasha.  We did not do a lot but when you live at the beach and have a pool too it makes it easy not to do a lot except relax, sun, swim, talk, eat, walk, etc.  We did it all!  Debbie and I got up every morning at 6:00 AM to walk the beach before it got too crowded or hot.  It was beautiful and even though the sunrises were mixed with clouds it was still a great experience with some beautiful views.  Thank you Debbie and Bill for a wonderful weekend and for making my 4th of July fun!
