I don't know about you but I am ready for this coronavirus stuff to finish up. I know until there is a cure or vaccine it will not be gone but to be able to get back to some normalcy would feel good. I have continued to work throughout this process so I have not gone stir crazy like everyone who are doing the self quarantining. Since I also live with my family I have not been alone either. My extra curricular activities have come to a halt but that has not been that bad either. It has given my the chance to get some things done around the house and get caught up with things I have not been able to get to in awhile. I could still use more time but I would not have the world hold up just for me.
Here are some of the things I have accomplished:
I have gotten to spend some great quality time with my family - watching movies, playing games.
I have cooked more and that has been fun! Yes, gaining weight too!
I now appreciate running to any store that is not food related!
I have grown closer to Our Lord. This is a huge bonus!!!
Things I still need to do:
Finish my new room that I just moved into. (which will have to wait until stores are open again)
Get caught up with my card clubs...it is getting closer to catching up.
Finish up some art projects
Things I really miss:
My Church...I work at it and get to be together with the staff but I miss worship and the choirs.
I miss my friends and doing things together.
I miss going out to eat, going to a movie, going shopping, sight seeing, etc.
The fact that I am actually living in a history making moment is something surreal and I know this Pandemic is history making. It has shut down the world! Think about it; this is a history making moment and I am not sure it will be well documented. If I were a better writer or a writer at all I would be recording everything going all. I hope we get true historians to document this and not just someone wanting to make a buck off of it.
Stay safe and healthy. It is the least we can all be doing during the history making period.

Happy Easter
This is a different Easter with the social distancing and everybody staying home. Easter is a time to celebrate but this year we will be doing on our own. With orders to stay at home there will be no big church services where people can dress up for Easter. There will be no Easter Bunny events, egg hunts or big family gatherings. There will be some churches having an Easter service and hopefully they will keep the 6 foot rule otherwise there could be a new outbreak of the virus. I personally will be watching my church’s service on my iPad to be followed with Rory’s Easter egg hunt and dinner.
It will be a quiet Easter but still the message and the meaning will be there. Happy Easter!

So Tomorrow Turned Into Two Weeks!
It has been kind of crazy around here. Florida is now a stay at home state and unless you are an essential worker or going to get groceries you are pretty much having to stay home. You might as well anyway because there is no place to go. All non essential stores are closed, parks, beaches and attractions are closed. Sports teams on hiatus, tv shows ending early, new movies being streamed to your home (for a hefty price) and now suggesting we where masks when we go shopping. It is getting scary and the next two weeks we are going to be even scarier as the virus begins to peak and the death toll is going to shoot really high. On the positive side, people are surviving and it would be nice to get those numbers instead of how many more cases and deaths.
I am an essential worker so I am doing my job daily and I realize how lucky I am to have a job and not be furloughed. I did make the move to my new room and will share that in the future. It was quite a job but well worth it.
I still feel like I am living in a sci-fi movie but the script keeps getting changed. So folks, stay home, stay safe, stay healthy. Do your part and protect others too! Until next time...take care!

The Coronavirus...are you doing your part?
By now every state in the U.S. has the Coronavirus. Many states and cities are shutting down and requiring people to work at home and only go out for essentials. It is becoming easier and easier to do so because I am not sure where people would go. The only stores that are open are ones that provide the needed services; groceries, home improvements, etc. The malls, movie theaters, live performance theaters, theme parks, banks, restaurants, attractions, state parks, beaches, etc. I mean there is really nothing to do. It is funny, many of us were wishing we could get a chance to breath. Now that w have it people want to go out. I am still working but I am also getting a ton of stuff done at home. I started a huge project over the week end and will share what it is tomorrow. Wash your hands, don't touch your face, stay 6 ft. away from people, sanitize everything, stay home, stay safe and stay healthy! Have a great day!

Playing Outside
With all of the social distancing that is going on we are doing our part with the exception of grocery store runs. Today we are playing in the backyard with the hose. It is a sunny day with temps at 88 degrees and no humidity. The perfect weather in Florida. Of course when the humidity is not high it is always a good day. Rory’s laughter can make anyone feel good and her sheer delight in playing in water makes for a great afternoon. I know I said I feel like I am in a sci-fi movie and as each day passes it is getting more and more unreal. We are lucky as we are still healthy and hopefully will stay that way. My brother has been exposed and is self isolation; he has another week to go. My other brother has started total isolation because he has cancer so he is staying away from people. My sister is not feeling well but the symptoms are not that of the virus. We are all apart with two of us in California and two of us in Florida but not close, distance wise. I am still working and will continue to until a cease working order comes from the Government. Not my choice but I will do what I am told unless I am not feeling well then I will self isolate. Hope all is well with you all. Stay safe and healthy. God Bless!

The Coronavirus, Seems Like I Am In A Sci-fi Movie
The Coronavirus aka Covid 19 is something that was a subject in several sci-fi movies except it is real and happening. People working from home, schools closed, malls closed, restaurants are drive thru or take out only, churches closed, Walmart is not open 24 hours, Disney world is closed, casinos are closed and cruise ships have stopped running for 30 days. After 9:00 pm there is no reason to be out because everything is closed. It really does not seem real but it is. We have watched China, where this virus began, suffer. Then Europe, especially Italy, and now it has reached the United States and three areas have already been slammed and are closed. Washington state, San Francisco, CA & New York City. Here in Florida it has hit in the last six days and in my county we have four cases but one just passed away today. I am still at work and will be there until we are forced to close or I have to self isolate. Social distancing is the trend and so is hoarding toilet paper; not sure what that is all about but could you leave a few rolls for others. Time will tell! We are all in this together so let’s be kind and considerate to each other, listen to our President and Vice President and pray to our Lord. Be safe out there; better yet...just stay home!

Dancing With The Stars Live
Last week I got to use my birthday present from Jenny, Nate and Rory. They gave me two ticket to Dancing With The Stars Live. It was great. I brought my dear friend Jean with me, she loves the show too. We had dinner then went to see the show. The dancing was fantastic, fast paced and almost non stop. The music was a bit loud but other than that is was a great evening. Check out the pictures. Thank you Jean for coming with me and thank you a Jenny, Nate and Rory for a fabulous birthday present!
